Larrissa - make-up by Victoria

Make-up tips from

Wedding Belles Brown shadows
Brides are always asking me what eyeshadows go best with an ivory dress and cream colour flowers.
Basically you can go for anything because you're not tied down with a colour. A popular choice is always browns and beiges, but if you have blue or grey eyes you can also try pinks, lilacs, greys and silvers, where as brown, hazel or green eyes can go for warmer colours such as purples, apricots, warm pinks and golds.

Mascara MayhemMascara
It's very easy to smudge mascara. The quickest way to repair the damage is to dip a cotton-bud in the foundation you used for your base. Just carefully wipe away the mascara before it dries and there you are, back to where you began. Try not to use mascara that is older than six months as it starts to clog and loses it's durability.

Application: Apply mascara to the base of the lashes by moving the wand from side to side then sweep up to the end of the lashes. For the lower lashes, clean the wand slightly with a tissue and, holding the wand vertically, sweep across the lashes. It may be easier to insert a tissue under the lower lashes.

Cheeky!
Ever wonder how celebs get that healthy shine on the apple of their cheeks? Well it's easy with a drop of lip gloss! Smile into the mirror and dab clear gloss onto the fullest part of your cheeks, sweeping up to the ear to get that lovely shine.

Luscious Lips

Outline lips with an anti-feathering product like Benefit de-groovie (see goodbuys page). Fill-in entire lip area with pencil that matches your lipstick. Stroke lipstick onto lips with a lip-brush then cover with one-ply tissue and pat loose powder over with a brush or cottonwool ball. Apply one more coat of lipstick and blot!

Nail-tastic
Need to remove some nail varnish but you've run out of remover? Try applying some nail varnish over the top and quickly wipe away with cotton wool or tissue. Hey presto - clean nails!

Blub-proof babe
Waterproof mascara is an essential item for any bride, but your mascara can also double-up as a waterproof eyeliner. Simply dip your eyeliner brush into the mascara and draw it across the top of your lashes to create a smooth blub-proof line!
